The new POPLA site is now live and accepting appeals at popla.co.uk
The new site allows you to track the progress of your appeal, and find out if the operator has submitted evidence. This should hopefully reduce procedural complaints, most of which were to do with evidence not being received, or different evidence being sent to POPLA and motorist.
The new POPLA will accept appeals based on mitigation, but explain that as they can only refer such cases back to the operator, mitigation is not likely to be successful.
The new POPLA will also take into consideration failure to comply with the code of practice. At this point, it is not clear what 'taking into consideration' actually means.

So it will be interesting to see if they start rejecting template appeals
Cheeky bar stewards. I guess they'll still be happy to receive a recycled giant redwood from Parking(sh)Eye(sters), filled to the brim with generic rubbish.
ReplyDeleteIt would get interesting if they rejected template junk from the parking companies.
ReplyDeleteCould you imagine writing that, there isn't a single way I would use my own words on an appeal, I would point to the exact law , unless they want you to fail ? Seems like the scales are against us from day one.
