ParkingEye witness from Aldi, Rachel Ogden, forgets the name of her boss. Witness debacle continues

[For a retraction of this post, see here]
The Prankster has a growing collection of joke witness statements that ParkingEye use at POPLA and in court.

Here is one from Aldi supermarket. The first problem is that it is not signed by the witness, but by somebody else. It is therefore a somebody-else statement and not a real witness statement at all.

The second problem is that there does not appeal to be a Store Operations Director working at Aldi called Belinda Ball.

There is a Belinda Barlow...apparently - although she is perhaps poorly and not up to signing documents herself as her signature has yet to be seen by The Prankster.

Poor old Rachel Ogden. It's always embarrassing when you forget the name of your boss!

Happy Parking

  1. There is more prima facie evidence of this.

    False statements

    32.14

    (1) Proceedings for contempt of court may be brought against a person if he makes, or causes to be made, a false statement in a document verified by a statement of truth without an honest belief in its truth.

(Part 22 makes provision for a statement of truth)

  3. Could it be that Miss Ball got married and is now Mrs Barlow? ( or vice-verse)

    1. Hmm. A possibility. I forgot ladies change their names sometimes.

  4. a quick google shows that Belinda Ball seems to be real

Belinda Barlow on the other hand turns up a blank (actually, only this page...)

  5. I think that you will find that the non-witness signature is actually that of Rachel ORGAN of the Parking Management Dept at ALDI
