UKPC "Do we really take people to court and win?"

The Parking Prankster has been reading UKPC's website, which is full of scary talk advising people to pay up or they will get a CCJ.

Do we really take people to court and win?
Each month people receive CCJ’s from the civil courts after trying to avoid paying private parking charges. Here are a few examples from UKPC:
NameAmountReference
Connell£314.599MA07347
Koloko£307.249MA07109
McDonald£293.669MA06846
Mohanad£303.559MA07114
Morgan£303.839MA07345
Patel£308.889MA07329
Pledge£303.959MA07107
Tomlinson£303.709MA06847
Zarafat£293.869MA07110
Bailey-Edwards£304.769MA08392

The interesting thing about these references is that they were issued in 2009 in Maidstone County Court.

The Prankster has no idea where UKCP is actually based but their registered address is 2 hours drive away in Coventry.

Do UKPC take people to court and win? It seems they don't - not in the last 5 years anyway!

  3. Thinking about it they say

"Amateur lawyers posting on internet forums often advise people to ignore parking charges, claiming that they’re not enforceable by law. This is bad advice."

The only place for bad advice is that...especially as he charges aren't a GPEOL!
