BPA Sanction points, October 2013

Not much to report. The BPA are dodging the issue time after time and The Prankster has seen many complaints which are deflected without any action being taken. If the BPA want to convince the public that the dodgy clamper element has been removed they will need to take firmer action.

A step in the right direction would be to make all complaints and the resulting enquires made public. That way, the public would be able to see for themselves what is actually happening.

  1. Apologies if it's mentioned elsewhere - is the a look-up table of Operator codes to operator?

    1. I think they actually change the codes every month - so not only do you not know who each code is, you don't know if it's the same operator from one month to the next.

I'm sure the Prankster will correct me if i'm wrong on that.

    2. They change the codes each offence! I have a post which shows an operator got suspended for racking up 58 sanction points. Most of those were awarded in one go, in one month. However, they all got separate operator codes.

    4. It's amazing anyone could manage to rack up that many points, given how unwilling the BPA have become to dish out sanction points.

I was recently in dialogue with them after reporting what was clearly, to any reasonable person, blatant and serious misrepresentation by one of their approved operators on their signage (which, let's not forget, they argue forms part of a legally binding contract).

Outcome: BPA perfectly happy with the actions of the operator, no case to answer.
